About Vicky
My name is Vicky and I am a Level 3 qualified Pilates instructor having qualified with the Future Fit Training school. I have always loved exercise having been a regular attendee of many different types of classes since my teens. I discovered Pilates shortly after having my eldest daughter Ella in 2007. I with so pleased with the results that I saw and loved the way that Pilates was gentle but also gave good results, lower back pain which I had always suffered with on and off disappeared. I loved the way that Pilates combined strengthening exercises with relaxation. Having been a Veterinary Nurse for 18 years I took the decision to train to be a full time Pilates instructor, a decision that I have not regretted.
I am constantly looking to further my career having recently attending a course on Pilates Small Mat equipment and completing a further qualification of Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions. I love working with people and seeing the positive effect that Pilates has on their lives, even people who had thought that exercise simply was not for them. Pilates is beneficial for everyone, male, female, old or young and complements other exercise/sports by making you less prone to injury. The simple layering of the Pilates exercises makes them suitable for all levels.
I am currently working towards a qualification in Pre and Post-Natal exercise, hoping to offer specific classes to in the future for pregnant ladies and also those wanting to regain fitness levels after having their baby.
Myself, I live in a small village near Peterborough with my husband and two children, 3 Jack Russell terriers and Siamese cat. I love village life, walks in the woods and spending time with my family.
